Community Garden

Bedford in Bloom One Plant at a Time

Since 1935, the Bedford Garden Club has contributed its energy and talent to garden sites around town. We refer to these areas as “community gardens.” Some of these community gardens are fairly new, while others have their place in Bedford’s history. The members of the Club have individually and cooperatively provided the care and maintenance of these gardens. Contributions have been raised to provide trees, shrubs, flowers, urns, soil, fertilizer and weed control. We have worked the soil together. With our strong commitment, time and effort and in cooperation with the Town of Bedford, these gardens can be enjoyed by everyone.

The community gardens enhance the landscape of our town and are provided for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors. Since 1935, the members of the Bedford Garden Club have raised funds to provide the designs, plantings and maintenance of these gardens. With our strong commitment, time and effort and in cooperation with the Town of Bedford, these gardens can be enjoyed by everyone.
