MUM Sale – Order your mums by Aug 27, 2018

One day only – on Tuesday September 4th, the Bedford Garden Club will be selling its show-stopping mums at the Bedford Farmers Market, 3-6pm (or while supplies last), in the parking lot of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford.

Club members and members of the public are encouraged to order and pre-pay orders by August 27th for the best selection and early pick up after 1:00pm on September 4th. Our beautiful 8-inch potted mums, produced by a New Hampshire grower, are priced at $7.50 each or 3 for $21.00 ($7.00 each for three or more plants). Proceeds from this  event help to support the club’s educational programs, provide for holiday wreaths at public buildings, and maintain the club’s 8 community gardens location throughout Bedford for the benefit of residents and visitors.

July 2018 Field Trip & Garden Hop

Garden Hop – July 23, 2018 4:00 PM

           Joppa Hill Farm Community Garden

Our first stop will be at Joppa Hill Farm at 4:00 PM . We will have a private tour at 4 pm. After the tour we will hop to Mel’s home to view her gardens and participate in a social hour(s). If attending Mel’s please bring a lite snack or dessert to share. If you want adult beverages, bring a bottle to share too. BYOC, bring your own chair as there may not be enough seating for a large crowd. We are looking forward to see you there!

Field Trip – July 26, 2018 10:30 AM

Strawberry Bank Gardens,   Portsmouth, NH

We are heading to Portsmouth for a tour of Strawberry Bank and Prescott Park. We are scheduled for a private tour at 10:30 am.  After the tour, we can walk to town for lunch and/or tour the museum for an additional charge. In addition, Seussical is playing at Prescott Park at 7 pm, if you want to bring your grandchildren for the day. It is a fun family event where you can picnic on a blanket and watch the play. The cost is by donation.  Hope to see you there!

 

2018 Petals to Paint
